Microsoft's Next-Gen Console to be Announced May 21st
Speculation has been circling around the next generation of consoles for quite some time now. Microsoft has officially announced the unveiling date for its new gaming console. Official names for the console are still speculated, but popular suggestions include "Durango" and "Xbox 720." The company will be holding an announcement event on Tuesday, May 21st at 10 AM PST at the company's Redmond, Washington campus.
The event will be streamed live on multiple sources, including Xbox.com, Xbox Live, and Spike TV. Keeping with the company's goal to create not only the best gaming console, but the best in home entertainment, Microsoft released a bold statement, claiming that the event would give viewers "a real taste of the future." The statement continued, claiming that the company would be revealing even more information, including its lineup of release titles, a few days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo Conference in Los Angeles.
